LED Display Screen Industry News Brief | July 30, 2026

2026 07/30

At the end of July 2026, the global LED industry presents a distinct pattern of fierce low-end competition, expanding high-end production capacity, and continuous product structure upgrading. Industrial prosperity is mainly concentrated in high-end tracks including Mini/Micro LED and red-yellow light chips.
In terms of enterprise operation, according to the latest institutional research of Canlight Optoelectronics, the company’s core business stabilized in the first half of 2026, with a V-shaped performance rebound in the second quarter. Its red-yellow light chip business achieved explosive revenue growth and turned profitable. The second-phase production capacity is scheduled to reach full production in the third quarter of this year. Meanwhile, the company continues to advance the mass production of flip chips and COG solutions, and deploy Micro LED technologies to seize opportunities in high-end display and optical interconnection tracks.
On the product market side, Micro LED is rapidly penetrating the consumer home market. Ledman Optoelectronics has launched new home Micro LED giant screen products that solve heat dissipation and glare problems. Suitable for high-end home decoration, audio-visual, e-sports and other scenarios, the new products accelerate the industry’s transformation from commercial display to civil consumption. Affected by high prices of precious metals, driver ICs and other raw materials, manufacturers are boosting gross margins via high-end product iteration, while the market for conventional low-end LED products remains highly competitive.
In terms of production capacity and exports, China’s trillion-level MLED production capacity construction is in steady progress, with leading enterprises expanding production lines for high-end chips and COB packaging. The export market faces overall pressure. China’s LED lighting exports declined year-on-year in the first half of the year with a sharp drop in US shipments. Pearl River Delta manufacturers are actively exploring emerging markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other regions to avoid trade barriers.
